QR code generator
What is a QR code
A QR code is a two-dimensional barcode: a square image of black and white modules with a link, text or other data baked in. A phone camera reads the pattern and instantly opens what is inside: a site, a payment, a contact, Wi-Fi or a map. The name stands for Quick Response.
The generator runs right in your browser: you enter the data, adjust colors, shape and a logo, and the code is built on the fly. Nothing goes to a server — everything is computed on your device, so passwords and bank details stay with you.
All codes here are static: the data is baked into the image. Such a code is free, works with no scan limit and never stops working over time. You cannot change the content after creating it — if the link goes stale, regenerate the code.
QR code types
Pick the content type with the tiles above — each has its own page with examples:
- Link — a site, profile, form or review
- Bank details — invoice payment by the GOST ST00012 standard
- Wi-Fi — joining a network without typing the password
- Contact — a vCard contact into the phone in one scan
- Video and song — a link to a clip or track
- Email, SMS, Phone — a ready email, message or call
- Location — a point on the map with a route
- Text — any string, readable offline
QR codes are printed on business cards, flyers, packaging and price tags, placed in windows and meeting rooms, added to slides and email signatures. Wherever dictating an address or password is awkward, a code saves time and removes entry errors.
How to make and check a code
The steps are simple:
- Choose the content type and fill in the fields — the code appears in the preview at once.
- Adjust the design: color, module shape, logo. Keep a dark code on a light background.
- Download the result as PNG, SVG, JPEG or WebP in the size you need.
How to check it scans
- Scan it with two or three phones — iPhone and Android read differently.
- Make sure the right page or data opens, not an error.
- Check the contrast: a light code on a dark background scans poorly.
Printing tips
- A business card needs 2 cm, a poster 10 cm and up. The farther it is scanned, the larger you print it.
- Use SVG or a 1024–2048-pixel PNG — vector does not blur when enlarged.
- Keep margins around the code and do not shrink it too much.
- A center logo should take no more than a quarter of the area, or the code stops reading.
